Creating your first private practice website
You want a website, Here is what you need.FROM CONCEPT TO EXECUTION
Here are the main steps to the website design process.
Now here are the things you should have ready
Okay, let’s begin
Website Design Preferences
In addition to completing the “Website Planning checklist”, any additional information about your preferences help to shape your website. Some examples would be website addon or additional services like, simplepractice(for scheduling), Paypal (for online payments), or even mailchimp for email campaigns. The more detailed information you can give me about your design preferences and company goals , the more your website will resonate with your practice.
Your Words and Content
I do not provide the copy for websites by default (copywriting is an additional service) you will need the text for all of your pages. Home, About, Services, Contact, etc. In my experience I find it common for therapists, counselors, coaches & psychotherapists to get intimidated by the writing process which can stall the progress of their site design. It’s more effective to complete something than to achieve an ideal, and that’s what I’m here to do, get you online and start seeing clients.
Domain & Hosting
After all the design work is completed, you’ll need two thing; First you’ll need to register a domain (i.e mycounselingpractice.com) and select your hosting service. You are able to use my in house services for hosting or another hosting service.
I recommend using Bluehost.com to register your domain, they are reasonably priced, and they provide excellent customer service.
DISCLOSURE: I receive a referral payment for any customer that sign up for services at Bluehost.com
